Osprey CE Pro

I purchased the Osprey CE Pro a few months ago. I go for big fish not numbers. The CE Pro has the smoothest drag that I have ever experienced. I have over 70 years of fishing experience and have owned practically all of the major manufacture's reels.
The Osprey allows more casting distance and comfort. The reel is light yet operates like a heavy-duty machine. My 2500 has landed Tarpon that go well over 100lbs., Bull Reds, Huge Snook, and monster Trout. I have not had any issue with this reel.
The reason for my title is this. I now own 3 Osprey CE Pro Reels and have abandoned all my others. There is not a reel on the market that compares to this one. The problem is you can't try just one, it is like a bag of potato chips. They are so good that you have to back for more.
The last one I ordered has the power handle. I may have to purchase two more handles to make my arsenal complete.
This reel is not cheap but well worth the investment. There are many reels on the market that cost more but they do not compare to the Osprey.

Beautiful reel, I have yet to take it on the water but from my last experience owning their Resolute I can say that they make high quality gear.

So I just picked this up and I love it more so then the Stradics I’ve owned but I do wish the body was just 2 pieces I don’t like that there is 4 pieces and about 8 screws that will make it easier for water to penetrate and in my opinion makes the reel less durable and a little heavier. Live the reel it’s beautiful and I think I’m gonna be a lifetime customer asking as you guys keep up the good improvements. Also caught my first trophy bass on my second cast with it

Finally got my hands on an Osprey 4000. Great reel all around, aesthetics are on point, it’s super smooth and light!
Looking forward to many outings with this reel.

Honestly the original Osprey CE answered all of my charter business requirements: durable and smooth. The Osprey CE Pro brings the perfection with only minor wish I had: faster fear ratio. Now I can step down a reel size and keep the speed with less fatigue. Carry on FFP!

I put these reels through the test all the time fishing big tournaments. They never disappoint me. Hands down best reels out there.

The drag is impressive and the balance is good. My next reel purchase will be another osprey ce.

I have abandoned every other company’s reels and have only been using FFP reels and Bull Bay rods. They haven’t failed in all these years. I enjoy the quality and have been told their service is great. Don’t know yet as I haven’t needed service. Top notch company!
